New managing director at Trumpf Sachsen

Laser manufacturer Trumpf is ushering in a new leadership generation at its production site in Neukirch, Saxony. Arnim Büchle (49) will join the management of TRUMPF Sachsen GmbH effective April 1, 2019. Roger Kluth (52), the commercial manager, will now be working at the head office in Ditzingen. The management spokesman and development manager in Neukirch until now, Dr. Harry Thonig (62), retains his current functions. He will, however, pass on his role as spokesman to Arnim Brüchle on July 1, 2019 after an induction phase.

Brüchle is from Hettingen (Baden-Württemberg) and is currently one of the two managing directors of the Swiss TRUMPF subsidiary in Grüsch. Together with Andreas Conzelmann (47), he played a significant role there realigning of the Swiss companies into a single one over the past months. He is married and has two children.

"With Arnim Brüchle, Neukirch is gaining a highly creative managing director", said Dr. Stephan Mayer, production manager responsible for machine tools in the TRUMPF Group. "Thanks to his experience, Brüchle can bring important momentum to bear, in terms of interplay between machines and automation as well as processes and customer expectations. His main focus will be on further developing the site in response to the rapidly changing challenges posed by automation and digitalization."

From April 1, 2019 on, Andreas Conzelmann will be solely responsible for the management of the Swiss TRUMPF subsidiary.

Roger Kluth, who helped shape the subsidiary in Neukirch for the past 26 years, especially in production and as its commercial manager, will now take over as head of Global Product Lifecycle Management at TRUMPF headquarters in Ditzingen effective April 1, 2019. According to TRUMPF tradition, occupying a senior management position at the head office is a means of furthering one's career in the Group."I am grateful to Roger Kluth for all he's done for Neukirch," says Stephan Mayer, "and I wish him and Arnim Brüchle every success for the future."

The former management duo Dr. Harry Thonig and Roger Kluth can look back on a success story in Neukirch. In the past fiscal year, TRUMPF Sachsen GmbH achieved record sales of EUR 160 million. The company currently has 468 employees, 25 of them trainees. In August 2018, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Saxony's premier Michael Kretschmer (both CDU) visited the Saxon flagship site for a dialog conference with staff and Group Management.
